it’s home but better

Because we can’t do anything in a normal, reasonable, planned sort of way, we are moving. Next weekend. We have to be out of here by the 27th. We just found out for sure today. Anyone with a history of reading this knows I hate moving. It causes me completely unfathomable, pointless stress. Indeed I rarely have stress dreams about school, missed exams, being naked or whatever. No, my stress dreams are almost always about moving. Bleh.

New place? So motherfucking awesome. It’s same house we live in now, just the MUCH bigger apartment in front. There’s some pictures here, although I should have taken some of the porch and the front of the house too. Maybe later.

Hmmm, looking at the pictures calmed me a bit, but I’m sure in a few minutes I will go back to completely freaking out about money (and packing and unpacking and everything). Should anyone win the lottery this week, please think of me when you’re deciding how to spend it! Ha, or I guess I’d have as much luck buying my own lottery ticket.

  1. How exciting! I’ll try to hit up your store and help you out, but I’m currently unemployed, so I don’t know if that will actually happen. The new place looks beautiful. Are you going to have the same electrical problems there as in your part?

  2. Wow, that looks gorgeous!
The lighting is just amazing. Good luck with all the details of getting the move done.

  3. Aw, thanks, baby, but keep your money until you have a job. I’m considering turning tricks on the corner. 🙂 I should be fine.

The new place is beautiful though! The old one too, but the new one is HUGE and has pretty fireplaces!

  4. Thanks! I’m sure it’ll be fine, it’s just sort of sudden and just ACK!

  5. Hey, at least you don’t have to worry about being really careful with the packing. You can just start lugging shit over there! If you hvae to move, that’s the way to do it.

    Good luck!

  6. Yay! I am so glad that you get to move in there!

  7. Okay, now I looked at the pictures, and I have to know… how many fucking fireplaces are in that place?!?!?! You will never be cold again (except your clothes with smell like smoke… er, I mean, woodsmoke).

  8. Hooray new home!! Congratulations!

We’re moving too, soon. Looks like end of June (when we hope to close on a townhouse) and I am so with you on HATING moving. I am really excited about owning a place, but I’m really not looking forward to packing, loading, unloading, unpacking. Just, ick. Why can’t I just wave my hands and *poof* it will be done?

  9. It’s totally gorgeous, I could stare at those floors for hours.

  10. Christie’s coming over to pack this afternoon and also said she would clean. NO WORRIES.

  11. You need to get Cletus and Jimmie Ray to switch the showerheads too. And I think I’m gonna take the pink room, and the door needs to be switched in there so it doesn’t open in a stupid way.

I was just talking to Jodie and I was all, “OMG! PANIC! And by the way PIRATES tickets on the only night I have off! ACK!” But really, Pirates wins. Especially free tickets. Even if the show is in Franklin.

Is it time to go home yet?

  12. Ok, when JR and Cletus show up, I will get them to do that. Did you call about the lectric?

Why are you panicing? CALM. You will barely have to do anything, we have people for that. I will call DJ after bit.

  13. We’ll talk about the ‘letric when I get home. Leaving soonish, hopefully.

  14. You totes need to put a new set of pics up of the built-ins in the laundry room with my shoes in.

  15. Very awesome pics of what appears to be an awesome apartment! Are the fireplaces usable?
