Author of the Queen City Boys books

I’ve been up since 7:30. This isn’t such a big deal, except now I need to get ready for work and suddenly I just want to back to bed and sleep all day. Coffee isn’t even helping.

I did finally get the Cherry Blossom Designs site updated yesterday. I’m moving so slowly this year, I swear it’ll be 2007 before I even know it.

It’s snowing in Seattle. There’s a severe weather warning for ice. The Hawks had to play a game in the snow. Not only are schools closed, but the Microsoft campus and other businesses closed. This is insane. Normal, maybe, for January, but November? So weird! Weirder still it’s about 67°F here right now. I mean, I’m sure winter will come and it has frosted over a few nights, but I can’t help but feel glad to be in Nashville right now and not Seattle.

  1. I wish it would snow here. Lots of snow. Enough snow for work to shut down, but not for the internet and cable to go off. Heh.

  2. No no no no no. Snow is bad and should be avoided at all costs! 🙂

  3. The snow made me think of walking in oly with you, drunk in the snow. I miss you.

  4. The weather is crazy isn’t it? My whole argument about “Seattle is warmer than Chicago and has less snow” (the one which has a part in my gal and I moving to Seattle) isn’t holding up these days.

  5. Getting up early takes some use to.
And no, at that certain point (and I feel the feeling, heh, from the times of my severe insomnia, waking up too soon, to much before my usual waking time), severe tiredness, nothing helps. Well, I’ve discovered that fresh cold mineral and 10 min in bed work like charm (improve energy levels slightly for 10%, that is), but I suspect it’s different from person to person.

  6. I miss you too. Dreadfully today. Would that we had a flask and stompy boots and thick socks and a whole evening to slip around taking pictures and laughing and crying and drinking together.

  7. Global climate change I guess. It’s not supposed to snow in Seattle in November!! It’s also not supposed to be in the teens in Nashville!! BRRRRR!
